Janice Weinman, D.D.S.
Dr. Janice Vlasak Weinman is a dentist in Seguin, Texas, who specializes in rendering caring, quality dental care to patients of all ages. She opened her solo general and cosmetic dental practice in a beautiful, state-of-the-art facility in Seguin in July of 2008. Prior to that, she practiced in Gonzales from 1989 to 2008 and in San Antonio in 1988. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Lutheran College and her Doctorate of Dental Science from the University of Texas Health Science Center. Dr. Weinman enjoys all aspects of dentistry. She works closely with a TEAM of specialists for more complex cases that may require their assistance.
Dr. Weinman is married to Kevin Seider. After 35 years, God put this wonderful, caring man back into Dr. Weinman's life, and the two quickly became great friends! God worked everything out so that Kevin was able to transfer his position with the Texas Department of Transportation to the Seguin office in November of 2015, the same month that the two were married! The couple especially enjoys spending time together hunting, which is Kevin's passion.
Dr. Weinman is blessed with a beautiful daughter, Dr. Janelle Weinman, who graduated from Seguin High School in May 2014. She graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, May 2018 with her Bachelor of Arts in biology and University of Texas San Antonio in May 2019 with her Master of Science in business. Dr. Janelle Weinman attended Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin obtaining her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in May 2023. Dr. Janelle Weinman is a resident at the Veteran's Affairs Dental Clinic in Temple, Texas, where she is working to obtain an Advanced Education in General Dentistry certificate in June 2024. Dr. Janelle Weinman decided to do her undergraduate and doctoral studies away from Seguin to gain a broader perspective of the world as she plans to return to join the Seguin Smiles TEAM as an associate in August 2024. During her years away from Seguin, God brought her and her fiancé, Luke Leon together. Dr. Janelle Weinman and Luke are planning a March 2025 wedding.
Megan Stivers, D.D.S.
Dr. Megan Stivers was born and raised in Mansfield, TX. She attended Texas A&M University, followed by Texas A&M College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX. Gig'em! She takes pride in making each patient feel comfortable and cared for at our office. One of her favorite parts of dentistry is seeing the impact that restoring a patient's smile has and the visual satisfaction it brings.
Dr. Stivers married her high school sweetheart, John, in 2020. John is a middle school teacher and coach, and the couple shares a love of sports. Their favorite time of year is the fall because every weekend is spent watching Texas A&M Aggie and Dallas Cowboys football. Dr. Stivers grew up on the soccer field, and being outside is still one of her favorite things. You can often find her walking on the trail on a Saturday morning.
Janelle Leon-Weinman, D.D.S.
Dr. Janelle Leon-Weinman is very excited to be returning to Seguin and the Seguin Smiles TEAM! Dr. Leon grew up in Seguin and graduated from Seguin High School in 2014. She graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota in 2018 with her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2019 with her Master of Science in Business. Dr. Leon attended Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2023. She completed a yearlong residency in June 2024 in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the Olin E. Teague Veterans Affairs Dental Clinic in Temple, Texas. During Dr. Leon's residency she focused on learning advanced dental procedures, including placing implants, sedation dentistry and periodontal disease treatment. Dr. Leon loves working in the dental field because of the relationships she is able to build with patients, the quality hands on work she is able to produce, and the TEAM collaboration that goes into quality care.
The best thing about Dr. Leon's time in the Midwest is that she met Luke, her fiancé! Luke grew up in the Chicago area, works in technology, and is a big sports fan. The couple enjoys attending a variety of sporting events together. Dr. Leon also loves reading, knitting, cooking, and hiking. She and Luke are getting married in March of 2025. Dr. Leon is starting her name change when she joins the Seguin Smiles TEAM to avoid confusion!
Dr. Leon is very grateful for the broad perspective that her 10 years away from Seguin provided her. Her time away made her very sure that Seguin is the community she wants to build her future in! Dr. Leon is ready for her next adventure of moving back to Seguin and welcomes any advice for her and Luke during this exciting time!
